The adapter ring for the Jaw Muzzle System comes in two sizes: the JMR56 fits grinders with round bearing housings that use 4"-5" discs and wheels the JMR78 that fits grinders with round bearing housings that use 6"-8" discs and wheels. The universal adapter ring is designed to be used only with the universal Dust Muzzle. It is made from fiberglass filled ABS plastic and is very durable.
How the Adapter Ring Works
The Jaw Muzzle adapter ring uses the principal of the three-jaw chuck to adapt to any round bearing housing. The three tabs are clamped to the bearing housing with a hose clamp. The Jaw Muzzle adapter ring is centered on and attached to the bearing housing of the grinder by a hose clamp. Click on installation instructions for a schematic view of the adapter ring.
Applications
The adapter ring is made to be used with the 4"-5", 7" and 8" Universal Dust Muzzles.
